My sister was 14 on Friday. She got bought a Cashmere Burberry scarf. It cost £155!!!!?!!?!?!

(and that's just one of the things she got!!)

A clock radio! Probably the cheapest one around - was one of four and money wasn't east in the mid-eighties for my folks, but it lasted about 15 years!

Who bought it?

A new swimsuit from a market stall, it cost about £1.25 and went see-through the first time I wore it in the pool.

I can't get over anyone paying £155 for a scarf - particularly for a 14 year old who'll consign it to the back of the wardrobe in six weeks time because it's out of fashion.

I'd never pay that for a scarf - burberry or not (in fact, especially if it was burberry but lets not start up a Chav argument again ) - just silly.

Her 'Dad' bought it for her. He didn't bother with her for the first 12 years or so, so now he thinks he can buy her......... puke emotion!!
