i bought a second hand playstation 2, for some kids for xmas,foster mums dont get paid much,so second hand was my limit,i saw an advert and rung it up arranging to meet this man at the hospital as he was disabled and had a hospital appiontment and it was in the middle of both of our areas, nice man seemed so kind. you guessed it damn thing dont work, he not answering his phone and no such adress as he gave me!now ive blown the money, merry bloody xmas to him!

Oh no! Are you sure you've done everything right in plugging it in? (don't mean to be patronising!! but I don't know anything about playstations). Do they need batteries - could it be that? Could you get someone techy to check it over for you - perhaps its

something small that could be right. Really hope so!

Ok - will email you. I will get DH to check that it is working first (hasn't been used for a while, and don't want to send another dud!!) But i am sure it is fine. He comes home from work at lunch time, so i will get him to check it, and email you then.
(It is a chipped one BTW)

Just thought i would check before i email you, it only has one game, which is a car racing formular one type. Would you be able to get hold of more games? They seem to sell used ones v cheap in game station etc.
Also, it has a power lead, but not the lead that connects it to the tv. If you still have the broken PS2, the lead off that will work the PS1.
It also doesn't have a joy-pad, but again the one from the PS2 will work with it.
Do you still want it?

That's a horrible thing to happen, Fostermum. Is it far-fetched to get the police to track him through his hospital appointment? After all, what he's done is theft and there's nothing to stop him doing it again to some other unsuspecting soul. I'd definitely report it, even if the police don't do anything. He may be doing it regularly Angry

how much did you pay? because you can get about £30 for a broken ps2 on ebay. ovbiously you have to state that it is broken. have a look you might get your money back. the people that buy them fix them. hth.

What a lovely thing to do Saintshar.

Fostermum.... having a chipped psone means the games can be even cheaper.
agree you should report this, even if nothing gets done it may help stop him doing it all the time if others report it too. Give his number to police too. May be worth phoning him from with hold number he may answer it.
