I feel like I am going round in circles trying to decide what to do with my hall, stairs and landing.

Basically, the top half of the wall is smooth(ish) and then there is ugly strip where there once was dado rail, and then bewlow that the wall is crap. It was sprayed with one of the guns that fires tiny bits onto the wall with the paint, so it is smoothish white with raised red bits

Anyway, my friend suggested having the whole hall skimmed over, but what I want to know is, would skimming cover the bits on the bottom ok ??

why dont you get a plasterer round and ask them?

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 19/02/2008 17:27

skimming would cover anything so long as there is no paper or loose plaster
nothing like it imo - it transforms old houses and am about to have my landing done

yes, skimming would cover pretty much anything of a slightly damaged nature

Thanks, that sounds great then.

I asked here first donbean, because I didn't want to go to the trouble of getting someone round if it wasn't suitable.
