Needing some advice...my 9 year old has started growing hair under her arms which we have explained is normal, which she has been fine with until recently and has started asking if she can shave. Is 9 years old too young? I know when you start stopping isn't an option. I'm torn as kids at school have been talking about it, and it's bothering her.

My DD had early adrenarche so had armpit hair quite young. I used hair removal cream on it for her as she felt sensitive about it - kids can be horrible so if she wants to remove it I would help her with that

I would definitely help her shave. Be aware that she will likely need deodorant as well!

Yes, I’d help her shave or use a hair removal cream. Kids at that age can be brutal (even if they don’t mean to be) and her confidence could take such a huge hit. No harm in helping her remove unwanted body hair.

Thank you all, I think I'll definitely try the cream first as not quite so harsh.
