Children's workers

We have Stay and Play in our children's centre in which 2 members of staff sit while 3 or 4 parents play with their children. They only talk to each other. What are they getting paid for, if the entire responsibility of the children is with parents?

Its called stay and play not free childcare. What do you want them to do?

Same as swimming pools or soft play its up to the parents to supervise their kids, not the lifeguards or softplay workers.

What I'm saying is when I got to a stay and play or creche at the church or the library, the staff there play with the children or read to them or have a singing session. But at the children's centre they just sit. What is the point of them being there - just a waste of taxpayer's money!
