Every year I have marked my daughter’s height on the back of her wardrobe door in her bedroom in permanent marker. I didn’t foresee it, but will be moving from my home in the near future. I desperately don’t want to lose this memory. Has anyone got a hack to be able to lift the ink/print off the door surface and preserve it with a clear laminate? I’ve no idea if such a thing exists even! Removing the door is not an option! If anyone has any suggestions I’d be most grateful. Thanks

Could you maybe take a picture of it and have it made into an embroidery/cross stitch/tapestry pattern that could be stitched and framed?

That's a beautiful idea.

The embroidery idea is lovely, but could be costly and/or time consuming.

You could buy a long piece of clear Perspex, put it over the current markings and trace them on with permanent marker. Then attach the Perspex somewhere in your new house and carry on marking?

A strip of Perspex is quite cheap ...
