Wide shoes for toddler

Hello
Wondering if anyone can help, my toddler (18m) has very very wide feet. In fact unlike anything I’ve ever seen before! When they measured his width at Clark’s it was off the scale, he also has a very high arch. Sometimes we can get away with an H at Clark’s (he is a 5.5INF) but they rarely have any in stock.

Can anybody suggest wear to find some very wide fitting shoes? I don’t want him to be uncomfortable, he loves running so trainers preferably. Thank you

Bobux come up wide, but with DD (who Clarks told me was also off the chart) the trick is more the style than the actual width as the arch is more likely the issue than the actual width of his foot, so shoes you can open right out to get their foot in then do up work better than anything that has to 'give' or stretch to get the foot in which I think is why the bobux worked well for her (and I loved the variety of colours after years of being stuck with whatever Clarks could shoehorn her into even though it didn't really fit!)

I say arch, but I don't necessarily mean that more the depth of his foot, the width measurement is actually the circumference of their foot so it's that element that makes it harder more than the actual width (although DDs feet are also wide looking at her!)

As they get older (DD nearly 5 now) I've got more relaxed and tend to just size up in Sainsbury's (Clarks reckon she's a 9.5H but is wearing a 10/11 in Sainsbury's happily) as she can articulate if they're not comfy and she's not tripping over them 🤷since Clarks were bodging the sizing anyway it defeated the object of width fitting shoes! Appreciate that 18m is a bit small for that though!

Thank you so much @LG93 i will try Bobux! I’ve got incredibly narrow feet so I’m quite perplexed by shoe shopping for DS! 😂

Find an independent shoe shop. They’ll have more brands that actually fit. I have a child with wide feet and high instep and shopping in Clark’s was like scenes from Cinderella. Geox trainers have been our best find and now I know what fits I can find them cheaper online.
