Anybody managed to get their hands on one yet???

no tried everywhere
got an x-box instead
now trying to influence ds3,s santa list

tried that one with the X-box....he said he wouldn't mind but deep down thats all he wants.

My neighbour managed to get one for her Dd's birthday last month, but did end up paying a bit more than the price everywhere else was selling them for. The place she had it from no longer has them though.

What area are you in ???

ive been told that x-box is better graphics also big plus is that you dont need a memory card

My partner works in a computer store, and they ordered 50 in the other week, and they were all sold by lunchtime that same day....! Far as I remember it was the same when the original PS2 came out.... Only thing I can recommend is get into town VERY early and hit all the computer shops before anyone else can!

Wow, didn't realise they were so popular. Just seen this on amazon: Sony have informed us that they will be out of stock of the PlayStation 2 console for the next few weeks.

Have you tried eBay or does it have to be new? Must see if i can persuade DH to part with his!

Problem iwth Ebay is that they are going for more than the asking price, I believe. But they have some of the old shape ones on as well if that would do.

Anything really dont mind as long as it works....Ebay are selling in region of £180 they are normally £100

Might just have to give him an IOU voucher....I have suggested an Xbox but he has all the games for PS2 as his dad has one and he wants ratchett and clank ???????

have you tried places perhaps not known for electric stuff like John Lewis?

(sorry didn't read ur mail, find out if any of the shops are going to be having a delivery, and try to get in there first, our local game is reserving the PS2 for customers, possibly you could ask if you're one will?

i have just read on aol news that the ship bringing them in from China is stuck in gridlocked shipping in the Suez Canal. it's highly unlikely it will get here before christmas.

i was going to buy my dp a PS2 for christmas but he will have to wait until the new year.
if any do manage to make it into the country they will probably go to major inner city stores which means people like me out in the back of beyond and stuck at work till xmas have no hope of getting one!!!!

Ive tried phoning around the stores offering deposit.....they have all said they are unable to do this aaarrrgggghhhhh

Dh trawled Glasgow for a Xbox, and fianlly got one, thank heavens, but was told if he'd been looking for a PS2, there would be no chance at all before xmas.

i have found out that they are stuck in the Panama canal. they are considering an airlift. i am not making this up.

Mentioned thsi thread to my DB a few minutes ago and his words were "you have got no chance of getting one before xmas"

Oh and he also said that in his opinion xbox was better, but then he would say that he has one.

How old is your Ds ??? Can you explain the prob to him ???
