Anyone got/had a mondeo?

I've seen a gorgeous Mondeo that I'm hoping to buy tomorow (if they still have it!) Its a 97 car so not exactly new but within my price range and seems to have alot of extras like alarm, immobiliser, full MOT etc.

I wasn't sure on buying a mondeo as the biggest car I have driven is a Corsa but I wanted something bigger anyway...

Here is a link to the actual car:

So has anyone got any experience of these cars? are they ok? I know its high mileage but I'm willing to ignore that

I have a mondeo estate, Diesel a year older than that one.
I got mine cheap but haven't had too many problems - the main thing that I did have a problem with was the alarm going off in the middle of the night for no particular reason! we solved this by disconecting the alarm horn!
It is spacious, dh & I aren't the smallest people and the kids have enough room in the back too.

Yes i have a newer one, less mileage, and (touch wood), it's been fine. DH had a P reg until recently and that was fine too. Cheap to run and get parts for.

I had an old 1995 one which was fab.I bought an 03 one when dd1 was born & dh had my old one, which lasted until 2006.

I've always been really happy with them and would almost certainly buy another when my current car needs replacing. The parts are cheap, easy to get hold of & they are ,in general, very reliable.

DP has a Mondeo, R Reg.

A total workhorse, uncomplaining, reliable, sturdy, huuuuge boot, cheap to run, what's not to like.

(Obv nul point in the style stakes)
