does anyone know if this email address is based in germany?

i have received an e-mail from someone i have been looking for for many years. the address is this person's name followed by web.de..........is this based in germany?

off to relationship thread to post in more detail. i'm excited but cautious.

I know web sites ending in .de are german based so yes I guess the person uses a german web server.

However my email address ends in .uk and I am in Cyprus it just means I use a UK web server.

ok thankyou. i know this person has been in Germany in the past, which is why i assumed it was german based.

i guess if they respond to me i'll find out!
