Applied on the phone on 22nd of December 2022 application is now with Decision Maker from 18/4/23 phoned up yesterday ( 25/4/23) to be told they have requested a report from a specialist nurse (from there end) regarding my condition has anyone had similar and know how long roughly they wait on this part? I also send lots of supporting information and gp/hospital letters with applications.

I applied for my 11 year old son at the beginning of November and that was them just asking the school for more information last week.

Lovelyjubbbly · 30/04/2023 17:12

It’s a terrible amount of time to wait! I sent everything in for them and they still have no clue about my condition. I have scar endometriosis (caused by NHS) and 8cm endometrioma cyst! Endometriosis has spread to my hip that’s incurable. They ask for lots of supporting information to make decisions quicker and still can’t!!

I hope your son gets the award he should it’s horrible experience going through this. I got 0 point when applied for pip and the reason was because I have a child. If I can look after my child I should be able to look after myself didn’t even go any further with it I just waiting for ADP

Any update?

I've been waiting months for mine.

when did you apply? i applied on the 23rd April, and mines has been with a decision maker since the 11th of august. i sent in evidence and as yet they havent contacted my GP so not sure if they will need to or not. the wait is so draining!

Babyroobs · 01/09/2023 11:43

Gp's rarely have time to respond to these requests. Best to send evidence in yourself with the form. There are just so many people claiming at the moment.

MamaClause · 01/09/2023 14:51

i worked in a GP surgery for 15 years, and its true; they will get around to these requests, but they are def not considered a priority considering the day to day workload they have unfortunately. i remember getting calls often looking for updates on different kinds of forms and they had been in a GP's tray for weeks. even now, working as a hospital secretary with currently no consultant; i have folders of paperwork here dating back to December. it's a nightmare.

I called today and was advised the award letter was sent in the post yesterday hopefully good luck

Hello, I'm new here. I would like to ask how long the process was to apply for adult disability and if it was a new application or a review with change of circumstances. I also would like to know if back payment was paid on usual day or if the payday changed.
