I am having trouble - in that none of my Message Rules are working.
I have a few filters and a few "re-directions" and I am getting every-one elses emails ( AND all the cr@p of the day )

How do I get Message rules on my emails to work again???
Thanks

You haven't got a virus have you? just wondering as lots of strange emails can be a sign?

sorry I can't be of more help

If you go into Message Rules there's an option to "apply rule now" - you could try doing that with each rule to see if it is working?

Crystaltips · 08/12/2004 22:36

Nope - as soon as this started happening - I ran the virus checker and it was "clear"

The emails that I am getting are for DH and DS ( not total strangers and the usual spam ).... they have accounts on this PC as well - but usually the rules filter the emails to the correct destination.

The trouble is that DH has to use my email account - and NOW he can keep track on all I am spending over christmas Blush

I'd set up a new rule and test it. See if it works.

Crystaltips · 09/12/2004 12:42

great idea .... tested this ( having deleted ALL the other rules ..... ) and it worked ...

back to the drawing board ....

Any other ideas very welcome !

then I would recreate the rules that weren't working one at a time and test each one as I went along ...

Crystaltips · 09/12/2004 13:02

sounds simple ( and fairly obvious ) doesn't it ?
Anyway I am doing what you suggest SD .... and so far so good.

I had about 50 rules .... and praps it just got its knockers in a twist !!

Thanks for your help anyway Grin
