that the world has run out of silver tinsel .. don't they know I need it to finish off DS's angel wings .. there's none in Sainsbury's, Somerfield, the local pound shop, Woolworths .. arrrgggghhhhhhhh

We've just been to the local garden centre to get our tree & I was amazed at all the stuff they had (but I don't remember seeing any silver tinsel !). They have feather boas in red, purple,black & white (!?), large pink angels wings, what looked like dead blackbird wings (wouldn't want them on my tree!), all sorts of glittery twigs, dangly things, feathers & even masks - why ??
Whats wrong with good old fashioned tinsel !?

don't know where you are based, but have you tried your local cheap and cheerful plastic shop, you know those shops that seem to be selling almost anything for next to nothing? Maybe they've got some stached away

MrsBig .. the 'pound shop' was my way of saying 'local cheap and cheerful plastic' .. they don't have any, they say its all sold out

I've got 1 x 12', 2 x 10' a 6' and a 4' which must have been a 10' I've chopped for some reason!

well I thought I'd try to work out how to attach the tinsel with some red stuff I've got .. and it wouldn't stick .. so there goes another fantastic idea
