Ebay email- is it fake?

Hi, I recently received this email from Ebay and am not sure if it is a fake one or not. I've forwarded it to hem to check but have had no reply but I'm seriously worried- I don't know anything about supposed false purchases and nobody else has access to my PC or password.

Any advice much appreciated!
(BTW, I didn't respond to their request!)

IT IS FAKE

Any suspicious emails claiming to be from Ebay should be forwarded to [email protected] Who will confirm whether or not the email originated from Ebay. Most of the time they are fakes.

OK, I'm sort of relieved but wheer did they get my information from?

They don't have your information, Hayls. These people just bulk mail thousands of email addresses, they know they'll find at least one ebay member as it is such a massive site, so they then ask you for info about your account in order to hack into it and use it fraudulently.

FWIW, Ebay will never ask for personal / sensitive information via email.
