Just wandered into my kitchen to clear up the lunch things and spotted a rather large and chilly puddle at the base of my freezer. My very helpful 2y 4m DD must've decided to switch the thing off sometime this morning. Unfortunately I've only just noticed it and so all the food in there has gone in the bin and the utility floor is currently covered in towels

Bugger! Are you insured?

morningpaper · 08/12/2004 13:20

Food in freezers is fine (if the door is shut) for 24 hours. Happens to mine a lot because it's an old heap of crap. I'd just switch it back on. :)

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2004 13:24

There was only about £20 worth of food in there pinkmama, so there's no point in claiming. We have a big chest freezer in the garage which houses most of the frozen stuff.

Bugger, morningpaper, I've just chucked it.
