Heartbreaking Sobbing - no idea why :(

Flameboy has just been sobbing his heart out - I was upstairs, came down to see what the matter was, and he was just sat on the floor howling, getting louder whenever DH tried to touch him/pick him up.

I picked him up, he clung to me and went silent.

He snuggled in for a couple of minutes, then put his arms up to go to DH, snuggled, screamed, then got down and wandered off to the sofa.

I have no idea why!!!

We're all ill with a nasty cold, but it was odd.

Poor little sausage. Something frighten him a bit?

My DS1 is same age as Flameboy I think (he is 2 next week) and has been doing this a bit. We think his back teeth are coming in as he rubs his ears a bit and seems to bite his hands at the mo. Sometimes he is absolutely fine but then seems to burst into tears.

My DS did that when he was cutting back teeth.
Once at midnight - he went bonkers and wanted to lie against the skirting board and not be touched. He kept going rigid (not in a fit) and screaming.

I really panicked - he did it again recently but I knew it was teeth so I left him to it whilst I sat close by and then he just back to sleep!

Oooh lucie exactly the same after lunchtime nap yesterday with mine. Wouldn't let me go near him when normally he wants a cuddle, and was yelling. Managed to get him downstairs and left him with cbeebies and some weetabix for a mo and he was ok.
