Temporary accommodation/homelessness

Hi all.

I'm seeking advice from people in the know who have lived in temporary accommodation or know people who have.

I am likely to be moved into temporary accommodation with my little one in the next month or so and wanted to get some clarity.

Biggest question is: am I allowed to stay overnight at local family members houses? I am a nurse and support my mum with care (no carers allowance, I support her with dialysis connection etc). I'm in Essex if this helps or is needed.

Wild time in my life by being in my 30s and in this position but hey ho, life moves in funny ways.

Thanks in advance x

Yes- but not every night, and depends on individual hostel.

@Janedoe82 thank you. I knew not every night but it's good to think I could stay with family occasionally. Thanks for your reply x
