Do you normally buy presents or cards off the dc to their grandmas or godmothers?

No.

But then I'm really bad at getting my own mother a card (forget a present) let alone being organised enough for a present from my son to her.

I thnk 'they' have a seperate grandmother's day anywa. They - being the card manufactureres of course. So you could probably find a 'Happy mother's day to my godmother' type of card somewhere, if you really wanted to.

I might get my mum something from DS - she does a hell of a lot for us (buys him shoes when I can't afford it etc) so I think a token of thanks is nice.

No. They are not the dc mother.
