How much clothes do I need for LO?

Hey all
just organising LO clothes and currently have far too much lol. Lots of hand me downs and gifts.

Especially when LO turns 1 and starts nursery how much do I really need? I want to get rid of surplus, but also there are some things I don’t have for 1 yr up like pyjamas and vests.

I just want to be more organised. I find it hard to get rid of extras because I think oh I might need it one day and then LO outgrows it before wearing lol.

how do you keep organised with the clothes? Any tips/advice? Thanks 🙏

Mine went to nursery 4 days a week, and I used to pack 2 changes of clothes in his bag. In the winter it can take quite a while to dry clothes, so enough for that, plus a few nicer outfits for the weekend. Several pairs of pjs and sleeping bags as mine always leaked through their nappy.

All of mine wore clean sleepsuits with a vest under for the first 3 months of their lives, with a cardi over the top perhaps. After that they wore soft dungarees with a long sleeved vest under and socks. I think i only had about 5 or 6 outfits maybe. When they went to nursery i would pack an extra top or 2. I didn't have much money then and mostly bought "bundles" of good quality things off eBay.

@BigusBumus1 i am fortunate to have a lot of hand me downs, which will be great for nursery.
mid i ever do need something I also eBay/Vinted.

there’s certain things I have far too much of though - I got handed down lots of party outfits. Honestly at least 10 for each age lol.

ive spent time today going threw everything and bagging up so much to give to the clothes bank.

injustvfeel like I keep going back and sorting threw clothes and getting rid of kore and I just wish my brain was organised enough to do it once and be sorted lol
