Tinsel nightmare

I am having a nightmare getting my tinsel to stick onto my mirror (I have put it all round the frame). I have tried sellotape and blu tak. Any advice please before I screeeeaaaaammmmmmmmmmm

or wrap thread round it (almost invisible) then sellotape the thread down?

No!!!! It is too short so have to add a bit round it. I hate christmas
