I have a friend but she tends to be super over organised and tries to organise everyone - sadly I let slip of when my wedding date is ( was planning on telling folks when invites were ready to hand out) but she's now told several people. I feel that it's not her place to tell and that it's taken some of the fun out of me telling my news to those I love. AIBU?

Did she know it was a secret? If someone told me their wedding date I wouldn’t assume it was private, or that you were expecting to make a big deal out of sharing the date.

Surely tho it's still not her place to tell ? What if I wasn't inviting those that she'd told?

I think you're being a bit precious tbh. People talk, and even if not invited, people will be interested in knowing when you're getting married.
