Contraception - Implants

Has anyone had the contraceptive implant ? I had it put in about 4 months ago and have had a constant period ever since - deep joy.
I know doc said this may happen, but has anyone else had this prob and how long did it last ???

I'm not sure you want to hear this but mine stopped completely after the first few months of implant, loved it until they couldn't find it to take it out when I wanted the next one putting in (long story, happy ending!)
Has it been getting lighter at all? Could it just be your body taking a while to get used to excess hormones?

Thanks for the message - I'm hoping that's all it is & it will settle down soon. Not getting any lighter though, stops for about a day (and I get all excited !) then reappears with avengence ! No pain though, so can't complain too much.

I suppose no pain is a good thing but after 4 months it must be getting kind of boring! How long do you leave it before going back to the Doc and saying MAKE IT STOP!
Or at least make him check your iron levels etc are suffering.
