are jo brand and john sergeant related?

i saw him on 'the one show' earlier. GOD, he speaks / acts / looks EXACTLY like her.

are they related?

That's funny, there's been an advert in the paper with a wee picture of her in the Pirates of Penzance (I think) where she plays a police officer, and I found myself wondering what John Sargeant was doing acting in G&S. And then I realsied it was Jo Brand.

She was on that 7 o'clock show on bbc1 the other week and they asked her about it and she larfed and said they weren't related. Talk about separated at birth though!

yes, their mannerisms are the same too. same dry sense of humour, same voice even.

ive just googled my question though and realise that ALOT of people think the same
