cold to 7 week old baby

hi! my baby is 7 week old and he is suffering from cold any tips... he cries lot in the night

Stick a blanket under the mattress so he not lying flat, and I swear by hanging a bib with a few drops of olbas oil on it in the cot.

We found that taking DD into a steamy room - ie when DH having a hot bath - helped DD breath and cleared her nose. Also fresh air clears their nose and helps them breath better.

You can put some books or something under the head end legs of the cot (or prop up the head of the moses basket a little) to prop them up, this is supposed to help them breath better in the night too

The best tip my GP ever gave me was put a drop of saline in each nostril just before he latches on to feed. What will happen is he will invertantly breath in through his nose, sucking the saline through, clearing his nasal passages and allowing him to feed easily.

menthol crystals in boiling water under his cot (cheap from any chemist)

Only use one or two crystals though or you will be crying!
