How would you word a letter requesting that your children be allowed time off to go on a family holiday.

I'm a bit dumbfounded.

Ths school office should have a form to request this.

Many schools have a holiday request form.
Others i`m told dont allow it and may mark down as absent-wont exactly affect job prospects tho imo !
How do they feel ?
If its a letter you could perhaps word it that you are writing to let them know that dc will be away from x to x inclusive due to family holiday.
Keep it short and to the point and dont ASK just inform them.
Going anywhere nice ?
