What are you looking for, I doubt you would get much for that especially as the Eden Project has now been given the go ahead.

Dartmoorcheffy · 01/02/2023 20:54

It's very deprived and run down at the moment there and has been for a long time.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 01/02/2023 20:57

Not all areas are deprived and run down. Some lovely areas, some crappy too.

80,000 is likely to get you a 1 bed flat in a crappy street unfortunately.

Ilikewinter · 01/02/2023 20:57

Rightmove would be your friend.

EasterIsland · 01/02/2023 21:08

oooh you need a time machine. 20 years ago, £70k would have bought you a mansion there. But if you hunt, you might find a reasonable flat. Try a bit further out or look between Lancaster & Morecambe. Personally, I think Lancaster's much nicer, even though you're not at the seaside as in Morecambe.

You want to move to Morecambe but didn't even know about The Eden Project?

Like.... why?

That kind of money won't get you much in Morcambe, a flat perhaps. Parts of it are really deprived but there are also some very nice areas especially as you move out towards Lancashire, Heysham etc.

There are some really startling houses round where Tyson Fury lives, I love driving past them as they look so different to everything else around them.

StillWeRise · 02/02/2023 15:47

if I was you I'd come for a few days and see what its like
It's at its worst right now!
on a sunny day it can be lovely, the views across the bay are amazing
however a lot of it is very run down - there are big hopes for the Eden Project but that will in turn push up prices. I live nearby and would not want to live there at all. If you have school age children, check out the schools.

Love seeing it on 22 kids and counting. I want that house!!!
