Currently in the process of a negligence claim for my son, very scary and messy incident in a sports club.
Hes had one surgery and one more to go.
Were finally able to see the end of this horrific last few months.
Due to my son not having finished physiotherapy and having another surgery his claim wont be going in until he is healed and in the clear with hopefuly no long lasting injury/disability.
Ive had a lot of losses due to the incident, and wanting to know if anyone has similar experiences. So my losses and costs due to the injury are nearing 5 thousand. Now i would really like to claim this back now, but i do know some expences are still to come with the second surgery, can i make two claims? what i could do is place everything on husbands account and he makes a claim when all is done.
How long does the general damages claim take?
Also unfortunately we had a family holiday booked ... the incident happened a week before our departure, we have booked the same destination and the same dates for this year, costs have increased greatly so weve had to downgrade by a lot but despite this theres still around 1 k increase... i canot downgrade any more without changing locations. Is it reasonable for me to expect this to be reimbursed?
If anyone has experience with negligence claims please let me know what to expect.
Thank you
