what colour is it?

Does anyone know what colour kaki is?I'm trying to order something and I want to know what it means first.Is it green or brown?I can't find it anywhere so I thought someone here is bound to know.

Khaki, is the colour of the soldiers uniforms surely, are you young enough to remember 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum'?

There's khaki and then there's olive drab - which is which? (I think khaki is browner?)

So it's a dirty green euew.I was hoping it was more of a brown.

That's American khaki, thanks, Soupdragon, now I know where I got olive drab from - what we call khaki they call olive drab. Their khaki is browny beige (taupe?). missdilemma, are you looking at an English thing or an American one?

Hi Janh,it's a British site but it's spelt kaki.Are we saying then that it's more greeny or browny I've got a bit confused along the way,sorry.Thanks everyone and Soupdragon for the link.

English is greeny - as Jasper said, like the mumsnet banner at the top only darker.

Those are brown all right, missdilema! I think if you want brown you should be OK with those!

I had a look at some of the others and they also have a colour called olive green - which looks like English khaki - and some of the boots are French, so maybe kaki is the French spelling of the American colour (ie brown in case I lost you on the way!)
