ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 10:02

wobblystarryknicks · 02/12/2004 10:02

some little books? Or a nice woolly hat and mittens. It doesn't really matter what you get, he wont notice anyway!

merglemergle · 02/12/2004 10:06

A toothbrush!

Ds has loved these since he was about 6 months. He has quite a collection (including an electric one) and will take them to bed with him if he can.

Cheapo CDs/tapes from ELC. DS LOVES these. Putamayo World Music for kids are fantastic but cost about 10 pounds plus.

Those little plastic musical instrumants from ELC. We got ds some jingle bells last year and they were a big sucess.

But seriously-the wrapping paper and the boxes are the thing!

my ds loves those rubbery ice cube trays you get to freeze baby food in. he's getting his own one wrapped up for xmas so I don't have to keep emptying the one in the freezer!

stacking cups

drinking cup, soft 'buggy books' (sell them in elc they clip on a pram..) In fact go in elc and raid the under £5 section - I'm sure this is what my mil did last year for ds (he was 8 months...) If you can find them the series of books 'This little lamb/fish/doggy' - published by treehouse £1.99 each and ds LOVES them......

happymerryberries · 02/12/2004 10:26

Bean Sods law, I bet you he will still want the one from the 'fridge! Kids are like that!

ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 10:36

Stacking cups are 90p from Ikea. Theres a set going in DD's stocking this year. Bath toys? Rubber ducks quite cheap or they do little plastic boats in Asda for less than £1. Actually DD might be getting one of those now I think about it!

zubb · 02/12/2004 11:00

Tescos have bath toys at 87p - octopi / ducks etc, books, little plastic cars - about £1 in woolworths.

TinselTamum · 02/12/2004 11:03

If you can find some safe ones, how about a couple of little finger puppets? Not for him to use himself, clearly, but to entertain him with

Lonelymum · 02/12/2004 11:13

When my children were babies, FC didn't visit. I explained to the older ones that FC didn't do babies. So don't let mine know he does!

Bath toys, small plastic car, board book, little FC / snowman toy on keyring to attach to buggy, jingle bells (from ELC), small chocolate animal (go on, I know he's only 9 months, but it is Christmas).
