I have just been send 50 pound voucher to spend at the co-op. No wording to say where I can and cant spend it, nothing saying I have to spend 5 pound on fruit to get 20p off. Just 50 pounds in co-op money

I am happy

it's brill isn't it - by far the best loyalty scheme I think. I'm expecting around £100 this time as I've been using the Co-op credit card as well as shopping there.

emMerryChristmastmg · 01/12/2004 16:20

Ohhhhh, I'm interested.
The place we're moving has co-op and a Tesco and as I'm not too keen on Tesco this could swing it.

50 quid!!!

JJ · 01/12/2004 16:20

50 pounds! Do they have a website? I've never really heard of them and wonder if there's one around here.

I love things like that.

Santasluckylittlehelper · 01/12/2004 16:21

Go get it spent Fio - beats my £3.00 in Tesco vouchers!

fairyfly · 01/12/2004 16:22

Fabulous, what you gonna buy?

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 16:23

they should have a website. i just picked up a card in store and you just use it when you pay for things and points get added. You get more points for buying homebrand and the points are just coverted into money, no strings. You can use the vouchers at co-op department stores too!

do you get more back for using the credit card too then?

OP posts:
phatcat · 01/12/2004 16:29

yep - 2p per £1 spent in Co-op, 1p per £1 spent elsewhere on credit card. It ramps up.

A Co-op and a Tesco Em - Jealous!

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 16:32

website for co-op dividend

I might get a bank account with them actually, i am hooked

JJ · 01/12/2004 16:34

Found it! The website is here . I'd like a credit card, too, but have no UK bank account (not my husband's fault, but $#*& Natwest hoops). Do you think it would matter.... I'm guessing the answer is "Um, yeah...".

There's one nearish me in Stepney. I think it's nearish me... must see if there's a bus there and then buy a pull along shopping trolley!

sparklynorthernstar · 01/12/2004 16:36

I didn't know anything about this. I shop at my local CO-op at least once a week. Will ask next time I'm in.

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 16:36

there was a thread on old ladies shopping trollies recently JJ I am really toying with getting one!

Must... stop... using... ellipses... ellipsises?... ellipsi?....

JJ · 01/12/2004 16:39

Ooh, I saw that thread! And saw some lovely cheap ones at the market by Whitechapel station, so might get one next time I'm there. (Great market, too -- got material for the Christmas play for 1 GBP/ meter!)

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 16:40

very good JJ

JJ · 01/12/2004 16:47

Yeah, I know, I'm so sad. Love a bargain, though.

Completely off topic, my son just now said to me "You're looking up www dot getridofchildren dot com, aren't you?" He's avoiding doing his homework.

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 16:48

aww bless

I take it you are back on our sandy shores now then JJ?

OP posts:
JJ · 01/12/2004 17:00

Yes, thank goodness!! Am realizing how much I was unsuited to rural Swiss life.

And, amazingly, it's cheaper for us here. Yay!

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 17:02

glad you are happier seems like ages since we have chatted on mumsnet. must admit i get a bit lost round here nowadays!

OP posts:
yingers74 · 01/12/2004 17:06

wow that is pretty good, i don't think there is a co-op round these parts, i bank with them though but i don't think you get anything for that!

JJ · 01/12/2004 17:28

Yingers, go here and see if there's something near you. I'm sold and haven't even been to the store!

Fio, I get lost, too! Feel like there are things I should know that I don't with people I used to 'know' and all that goes with that.

Hope you're ok.. always found you very funny (in a good way).
