On friday DH picked DD up from her after school club. I arrived back later (after the club had closed), and realised he'd brought the wrong coat back. It was similar to dd's but definitely not hers. He said no other coats like hers were there, and just assumed it was the right one. I assumed someone else had hers and would probably bring it back this week. This other coat had no name on and the club caters for several schools, so I had no idea where it came from. This week I took it back, and dd's was there too. The club staff said this other girls mum had been v irate as she'd gone out and bought another one at the weekend for her dd. she was quite rude to the club staff but it's not their fault! dh says if we see her (I dont know her btw) maybe we should offer to pay for the new coat she bought, should we do this?
The club staff say this happens quite a lot - and its usually the dads who get it wrong!!
