Can I be the only one watching this?I'm an adict.Please vote now to save Chris I felt so sorry for him ,he was quite good I thought.He so looks like a boy band member so its 09011980606.Go

I love it, but then I am Miss Popular Culture since ds was born and devour loads of crap on telly and media.

Anton, Daniel and Pete (too old) should form thier own band

I prefer Fame Academy to be honest, although it was refreshing to see the boys playing musical instruments last night

I too have become addicted to crap tv since birth of dd - Bring back Mikey (the only decent looking one) and get rid of Chris - agree with Willow2!

I've been getting quite a lot of insider info on this programme because Chris's step sister/half sister posts on another message board I use. She says there is an awful lot that the public don't get to see or hear and the whole thing is set up far more than you would believe. The Pete shock announcement was very much a set up and not the surprise that you were led to believe. The judges slate Chris everyweek which actually upsets him and his family quite a bit because a lot of it is unfair and uncalled for and he certainly hasn't been the lowest scoring member as many times as they would have you believe. There's also things gone on in the house which haven't been made public but would probably change people's opinions quite a bit according to my source.

Having said all that, I've never watched any of the programmes, so I certainly can't judge who is worthy of a place in the band but I am glued to the gossip that we receive.

What shock announcement was that? I too much prefer Fame Academy - less manufactured, more room for individuality, more focused on the 'teaching' side of it!

They all acted really shocked when Pete announced that he was too old to be in the band but actually they all new beforehand that he would make the announcement and that he would be leaving. That's why they had 2 of them leave that particular week.

Had my suspicions that the 'surprise' announcement wasn't that much of a surprise - basically because, when he stood forward and said there was something he wanted to say, Davina looked not at all surprised, just asked him to stand to one side whilst the others shuffled away - cue the shocked look when his announcement was made - just didn't quite ring true to me....
I don't rate any of them very much to be honest - except Daniel and Anton. All the others are a bit hit and miss - the 'look' is obviously what they are going for.
When I see Fame Academy, the difference is amazing - now they can really sing! Who else thought the judges got the shock of their lives when their little star Marli was voted out?! They only put her into the voting arena on Fri to get her to pull her socks up - backfired somewhat, as the public sympathy was obviously with the 'worst' performer, Katie. Think Sinaed and Lamarr are amazing

It really bugs me how the three judges obviously have their favourites for the bands, and that they try to steer the public voting by their comments. One guy last night (the first one? young guy) was dreadful, and yet the judges obviously wanted him, so said how wonderful he had been, yet they slated another guy who was actually better.

I appreciate that they want a certain type of band, but, if they felt that way they shouldn't have agreed to let the public vote. We all got it right last year with Will, Gareth and Darius in the final three, so perhaps they should just let the public have their way. Look what happened when Hearsay were created by the supposed experts!

Although I am not particularly watching Fame Academy, I think that all the people there have more talent in their little fingers than 90% of the Pop Stars lot. I just can't be bothered really this year.

I think the judges stabbed themselves in the back last night by slating Chris yet again.He got the sympathy vote last night but definately he didn't deserve to be slagged off again he actually wasn't bad last night.Jamie was much worse but got no critisism whatsoever.Keith is my favourite though what a great performer and a great voice.
PamT do tell more,I'm all ears for a bit of gossip on what's going on in the house?????Is it set up so we'll vote for certain ones ???

Thank God that awful Marli has gone,what a bitch she's been to Sinead.And as for her performance of torn when she was a grade it was appauling.Katie has a decent voice she just needs to get over her nerves and give a bit more performance.

I think Katie's doing really well - she's so young, and seems to be coping with it. I find Ainsley quite annoying, and Nigel too! But they have all been picked for talent at least, rather than looks!

ooo! i'm beginning to get quite hooked onto fame academy, i really like ainslie... i know he can be a bit of a prat but i think he has a lovely voice and just has something about him... nigel thinks he's the bees knees.. and i agree with you all, the talent on fame academy far exceeds pop stars!!!

Ah, I think Katie's dreadful! I've yet to her her sing in tune. She's just getting through each week because she'a attractive. She HAS to go next week!
