What is it and why do you have to be "invited"? Anyone?

It's an email service from google. I'm pretty sure it's just in beta, not really finished.

And the invited thing is probably in theory because they can't support that many users, but in practice, it's to make it cool.

I've got it and am impressed so far.

yes, but why is it impressive WWW? what's so good about it?

It doesn't crah like hotmail, you don't have to delete stuff because there's a lot of room, it attaches files faster.
