Clarks Crawler Shoes for 11 month old

Hi
I'm considering buying my 11 month old some crawler shoes. He has been crawling aprox 3 weeks now. I have another little boy who we never bought crawler shoes for, but when it came to him wearing his 'first shoes' it took us a while to get him settled into them!
Did / has anybody used crawler shoes & found them any good??
Thanks

I am afraid I think they are a waste of money. If you want to protect his feet a bit just get some soft soled 'shoes'. They do look cute though .

Waste of money and time. Next do some lovely soft soled shoes that my DS lived in whilst he crawled about. They are SO much cheaper too!!

Thanks! I felt they were a waste of money with my first little boy but then wondered if I should have bought him some when he struggled with fist shoes!

No, you might just have the same struggle with your 11 month old at an earlier age...

Where did you buy your soft soled shoes from??

MrsBuzz: "Where did you buy your soft soled shoes from??"

The last pair I bought came from a mind-numbingly expensive baby shop in the covered market in Oxford.

But there are lots of online uppliers, and penty on eBay. Brands to looks for are Blue Inch and Shooz. Oh and another, which I have forgotten.

what's wrong with bootees?

colditz · 29/01/2008 23:26

Don't bother - complete waste of money. It is better to let them run barefoot.

I thought clarks recommended that kids weren't in formal footwear until a month after walking properly anyway?

Seems a bit hypocritical to recommend that and then sell crawling shoes - talk about anything for money!

Clarks used to reccommend no shoes until after they were walking but then someone at Clarks invented the Crawlers and Cruisers ranges and suddenly they are advising that babies should have "crawling shoes"

and I was also very that a handout from Clarks "advising" on babies' foot care was include in a pack given to me by the HV at the 8month check

The Next and mothercare ones are fine imo. As long as they are soft and roomy they will do the job.
