hi my daughter DLA renewal is due 14/10. she's due a payment on 18/10 will we still get this payment first time i've had to renew so not sure what happens or how long a renewal takes. we didn't send the form back off till 1/9 as i was waiting for a copy of EHCP. i'm worried we won't get this payment and ive a full school uniform to buy as she's destroyed it after 4 weeks by chewing it 😭

When originally applied for and awarded, up to what date was it awarded? Do you mean it was only awarded up to 14/10? Instead of fretting and waiting, just give them a call on Monday and ask where your new claim is up to and what happens to payments until a decision is made. I wouldn't just wait til 18th to see if a payment materialises - the stress of not knowing will leave you fraught.

she was awarded for 2 years an it runs out on the 14th october. im going to call them. do you know if they are open tomorrow with it been saturday?

If it runs out on 14th then I can't see why they would pay you again (unless pro rota). I doubt the office is open on a Saturday, I'm afraid.

They've had your new application for over 5 weeks now, although there is always a backlog and it could take a bit longer to make a decision. However, if it is awarded again, the money will be backdated. There are support groups on the likes of FB with people who can advise better as they all have personal experience of making claims or decisions.

Hope everything works out for you

@Mumofadhd hello, hope you don’t mind me asking how did you get on?
did you still get a payment on the 18th?
could I also ask, when you received your renewal pack what did it look like? Was it the original forms?
we are due the pack soon and I’m dreading it all so much! Xx

@Mumofadhd wow so they do them really close to end of claim date! It’s all such a stress but it does help massively! Did you get awarded for longer this time?

we got awarded the same as before hrc and lrm for 2 years. to be honest she's got worse since the first time we applied. it was awful waiting for it coming back especially when new claims are taking 13/14 weeks.

That’s the same as we get and the same length he had it for. I have more evidence so hoping it will be re-awarded, i feel 2 years isn’t long enough 😫😫

i didn't send as much information this time and most of the questions i answered with see enclosed ehcp and we still got the same, i didn't have any one fill in the bit about who knows them as it was the last week of holidays and she'd moved to a different school i did add details in for both primary school and secondary school incase contact was needed.
