DS1 has toothache!!!! Pain killer advice please

Been sent home from school with toothache
And the dentist can't see him but will leave a prescription to pick up for anti biotics, as she saw him on Monday and now thinks it might be an infection.

He has had Nurofen and is still crying in pain, he is 11 and I don't know if he might need an adult painkiller???? Any advice.

Got more nurofen and some oil.

Hopefully the anit biotics will help too.

penicillin seems to be kicking in and he did manage to sleep still taking the pain meds though . Have to call the dentist this morning to see if she can see him, although if it is an infection nothing can be done till thats better.
