only word I can think of is whore/prostitute - but there's no payment involved as they're a couple.

bananaknickers · 23/01/2008 23:31

Well they could be called clever if you ask me. Why are you one FAQ ? hope not

madamez · 23/01/2008 23:31

Why do you need a name for it? If this is happening to you and you are unhappy with the situation you need to discuss it with your partner and work out whether things can be changed to something you are more happy with and if the relationship is salvageable.

But generally, if people are living 'as a couple' then more than sex is involved: shared finances, taking turns with the cooking or childcare or at least enjoying each other's company. Or are you talking about a relationship where the parties don't live together but meet occasionally for sex (in which case a common term is 'fuck buddy' or 'booty call' and the sex is mutually enjoyable and all either party wants from the other).

CaptainCod · 23/01/2008 23:32

bananaknickers · 23/01/2008 23:32

FAQ · 23/01/2008 23:35

because I'm writing DH an arsy note asking if I'm just a maid and a ?????? following a "discussion" we've just had.

The sex is actually pretty good ...

but he's p*ssed me right off tonight and I've found the best way to get through to him (when "practical" things don't work) is to write a note...........but

"so am I just your maid and the women you have sex with" doesn't really have a "zing" too it (ie far to waffly )

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 23/01/2008 23:36

As opposed to my DH who is with me for sex, food, and clean laundry?

fingerwoman · 23/01/2008 23:36

oh definitely fuck buddy in that case

HuwEdwards · 23/01/2008 23:36

FAQ · 23/01/2008 23:39

OP posts:
madamez · 23/01/2008 23:50

IN this case, how about 'sex toy'?

kindersurprise · 23/01/2008 23:53

I was going to suggest "Mug" but that is not what you are looking for.

FAQ · 23/01/2008 23:54

ooo - fuck buddy or sex toy???

Thing is a sex toy can't really enjoy the sex can it??

whereas a fuck buddy can..........

sunflowervalley · 24/01/2008 00:07

Just wondering what he cooked for his dinner?

Ubergeekian · 24/01/2008 09:12

"Mug"?

Hallgerda · 24/01/2008 09:22

FAQ, is it really a good idea to get help from your pals on the Internet in drafting rude notes to your DH? Mightn't your time be better spent attending to the actual problem sensibly?
