My sisters constantly telling stories to each other about each other and falling out. They are in the 40's for gods sake.

Following on being constantly phoned by people on my mobile just wanting to know where i am...

Thank you

I'm not annoyed with anyone at the moment, and it's really annoying me.

DH. has to go on a weekend "course", has left it to the last minute so has missed 5 previous opportunities.
Weekend he has booked is DD's 3rd birthday and the first time she is aware that it's her birthday.
Will be away for DD2's 1st birthday as well but can't blame him for that one so will blame the Navy instead.

purpleduck · 23/01/2008 20:23

My GODDAMN STINKING BROTHER!!!!!

He won't speak to me because I spent some time with his ex wife when I last went home to Canada. He hates her, so apparently WE ALLL have to hate her. Didn't even return my call at Christmas.

the baby

sheesh

Klaw · 23/01/2008 20:25

farking AF and farking pads!!! Hate them with a vengeance but have decided not to use my beloved mooncup for a few months to see if it has been having any effect on my slight bladder prolapse...

Sea Pearls are not enough, I dont think

Hate wearing pads, did I mention?

Wonder if reusable pads will feel any different.....

So for the last few days I have hated myself, and been irrationally irritated with life....

ItsPotatoesForYouMyLad · 23/01/2008 20:33

my mil, as ever.
her idea of getting ds (5yo) to sleep through is to send him to bed at 6pm with a tv and video in his room - i don't have a problem with his sleeping pattern which is 8pm to 7.30am.
her idea of making sure he eats his school dinner is not to give him any breakfast before school so he'll be really hungry
she even managed to say at the weekend that i'd had my los too early in the year - january & february - cos they can't have birthday partys in the garden like kids used to. apparently i should have "held on a bit longer"
WTF

purpleduck · 23/01/2008 20:47

potatoes, you should tell her you and dh were sooooo desperate for each other that you simply couldn't keep your hands off each other

mistressmiggins · 23/01/2008 20:50

my ex H is pissing me off - had an email from him yesterday which basically listed all the things I'm doing wrong as a single parent

his GF too - for swearing at me over XMAS for phoning my DCs earlier than arranged

Nappyzone · 23/01/2008 20:56

royal mail for charging me vat on non vatable imported goods and holding up said parcel and royal mail also for losing a parcel

Niecie · 23/01/2008 20:57

DS's teacher for keeping him at lunchtime today for using a pencil sharpner and for going to the trouble of calling me into school last night to tell me all about it. I'm sure teachers got on with it and did tell tales to your parents when I was a child.

That is just the latest thing - there have been several recently - all small but they are mounting up!

Niecie · 23/01/2008 20:58

Oh and DH for having to work so hard at the moment. Entirely irrational I know since he is doing the work but I am a bit fed up of the martyred look.

Desiderata · 23/01/2008 22:30

Niecie, run the pencil sharpener incident by me.

QuintessentialShadow · 23/01/2008 22:31

My husband.

And Desi. She is not in love with me.

unknownrebelbang · 23/01/2008 22:34

DH's former colleague, who's just emigrated...and then decided to text her friend to tell her her DP is having an affair.

No idea whether he is or not, but I'm unbelievably annoyed by the way she's done it.

Desiderata · 23/01/2008 22:53

Quint ... have I done something awful like not checked my email? Or have I not done email?

Well, it shall be done on the morrow. There are questions I must ask you, that's for sure.

And I rarely question people I don't love

QuintessentialShadow · 23/01/2008 22:55

All is well on Quint Hill, then...

ItsNeverTooEarlyForPopcorn · 23/01/2008 23:01

How about the Militant Mother and Toddler Leader?
Unbelieveable, she said it started at 1.30pm (I arrived at 2pm)
Never have I been so patronised.
Sorry, rant over.

Niecie · 23/01/2008 23:22

Desi, sorry got side-tracked - the tale of the pencil sharpener.

The children in DS's class were told they couldn't use a pencil sharpener because they were too messy. Anyway, DS is 7 and didn't think to tell me this important piece of information and, finding his pencil sharperner in his rucksack and not in his pencil case, I put it back in the pencil case, tutting under my breath about how he would have lost it if it weren't for me and my vigilance.

Teacher saw it next day at school, told he shouldn't still have it and confiscated it. Poor DS probably wondered where it had come from. Few hours later one of the girls saw it on the side of the room and gave it back to DS. The teacher saw it again and told DS off for disobeying and having told him twice that he shouldn't have it.

She made a big deal of it, said she would keep him in for some of lunchtime. DS in floods of tears (probably wondering how the bloody pencil sharpner kept showing up) and she had to tell me that he was being kept in for misbehaving, like he had maimed somebody.

I just thought it was overkill and not worthy of the song and dance. Coupled with we had a run in last week about spellings as it would appear DS is redoing all the spelling tests he did last year despite getting 9 or 10 out of 10.

She is a silly girl and I can say that as one who is probably old enough to be her mother!

Desiderata · 24/01/2008 17:52

Good grief, Niecie! Your poor, bewildered child .

It's a bit neurotic of the teacher, isn't it? How are the kids supposed to sharpen their pencils, then? Has she ever considered asking them to stand over a bin and do it ... or does she think that would be too innovative??

Silly mare.

QuintessentialShadow · 24/01/2008 17:53

What a story!Poor child, how bewildering!
