check along the top and see if there's any '2arrow' dropdown menu. You might have just pulled it off the screen. Otherwise also check if the toolbar is still selected bu right clicking in the grey area at the top and having a look whether all the bars you need are ticked.

Bit difficult to describe hope this helps

have been into toolbars, view, address bar and there is a tick next to it!
lots of the toher top bar stuff is there - but the place where you type www is gone!

You need to untick address bar - I just tried that, ticked it I mean and the URL box disappeared - unticked it and it came back!

even if ther's a tick next to the address, click on it again to untick it (making up words here!), then click again to put a tick next to it again and see if it doesn anything

tried ticking and un-ticking but no luck - i totaaly perplexed

tried that too... think it happened after i down loaded norton anti virus and internet security - does this make any sense?

subs when you click View, Toolbars, is the one "Lock the Tool" bars ticked or not?
If it's not, have a look all around your screen for the word "Address". If you find it, move your mouse over the vertical dotted line to the left of the word until a double ended horizontal arrow appears. Then click and drag to make the box reappear.

result - you are all geniuses (or whatever plural is)
