Basically I've not been getting the SMP element of my wages since October. Novemebers pay packet small - rang up and told there was a fault on the computer and that it would be resolved and the money I owed refunded in Decembers pay packet. I still only recieved OMP - no SMP, infact about £200 of it deducted for no apparent reason and no refund. Rang and told a bacs payment would be in my account xmas eve. twasn't. rang again completely unhelpful. finally recieved a chaps payment on the 27th dec for a rough amount of what i have been owed.

Now a frightening idea has been brewing in my head the past few days and with my mortgage due next monday and pay day on fri i decided to ring to see if these issues had been resolved this month. low and behold it seems not. in fact, the amount they paid me has been taken back off my pay slip with no credit applied to it iyswim. Which assuming they have missed off my smp again, will basically mean a big fat 0 wage packet this month.

They can't tell you amounts over the phone (kind of fair enough) but all he would say was there was something clearly wrong with my pay packet and he would look into it. That was first thing this morning and no word. i just called back for an update and was given a short shrift. They hadn't looked into it at all, they were doing pay roll for the weekly paid people and until that was done no-one would be getting back to me. He couldn't say whether anyone even would be tomorrow. I should perhaps add at this point that I wrote a letter of complaint after my dealings with them at xmas.

Dp wants to take me down there in an hour- would you go or would you wait to see if they do get back to you?

I would go there if you have the chance - it's your money, and it shouldn't be your problem that they have the weekly payroll on their minds. Be unfailingly polite but persistent!
