We had a gas leak yesterday, around mid morning we realised that the fumes were coming up through our stairs and that they may have been seeping through for some time without us noticing. Transco came out immediately and ascertained that it was caused by shoddy workmanship on the part of the company that recently installed our GCH. They had left a highly acidic 'slime' dripping from one pipe onto two others and it had corroded one pipe in the matter of a couple of months. I have typed a letter to CORGI to request an inspection and retained the corroded pipe as evedence. I'm just so blurdy furious! We (DD1 2.5 and DD2 12 weeks, DH and myself) could have been killed in our sleep, or had an explosion. I spoke with our local childrens A & E and they checked signs and symptoms on their poisons database and were satisfied that my DD's have suffered no ill effects, thankfully!
(I just got stung on the bum by a wasp, but that's another story!)
