My son lives in a flat which I own. He used to receive housing benefit, which was paid directly to me, which I used to pay all his bills. The housing benefit was stopped about a year ago but I can't afford to continue paying his bills. Although the bills show the flat as the supply address because they are in my name the benefits office won't accept them. Am worried that if I change the billing/payment details with the companies concerned they will move him onto a different, more expensive tarriff, I signed up for a fixed deal which still has about 16 months to go. He doesn't have a job so is getting no money other than from me. Any advice please?
