School tights !!

Hello, every school year I have a nightmare with tights they either fall down don't stay on the bum, the crotch area doesn't sit well or after a few washes don't hold anymore Iv sized up sized down thinking that's the issue. Anyway mumsnetters what school tights do u recommend or swear by ?? 🤔

Do PE knickers still exist? I used to wear those over my tights at high school as I always had this problem.

This is why my skirt wearing daughter wore culottes instead. They keep the tights in place and add extra layer for warmth. Fortunately youngest is a trousers/shorts wearer so tights are no longer the bane of my existence!

We send DD in leggings instead. They look like thick tights.

My sisters kids 13/16 year old girls both just wear leggings to school now. Most of the time the school don’t comment and they are a bit warmer on days like today I’m -6 🥶
