Sedation

I’m due to have a colonoscopy next week under sedation and I’m pretty nervous. I’ve been under GA before but never sedation. What’s it like? I don’t like the idea of being Woozey and out of control… feeling stressed

My experience is that mainly it's just like GA. Once, I had some momentary awareness of what was going on, but it didn't bother me (because of the calming effects of the sedation).

Once they start the sedation you won’t know a thing until the colonscopy is over. Believe me, it is far the best option.
