Painful bakers cyst

Just looking for a bit of advice.. After being in agony for the last 5 weeks with pain and swelling in my knee have just been told after a scan it is a bakers cyst and told to just take pain killers has anyone any advice on how long this takes to go as due to my job I really need to get back to work

Did you get the cyst resolved? I have had one for 5 weeks too and I'm worried how long this will last.

Hi sorry still flares up and didn't get it removed hopefully it won't get as bad as before it's manageable now just got prescribed naproxen and have to lightdo excercises

Thanks for replying. I'm trying some exercises but miss being able to go for a walk. Waiting on physio but will maybe see doc again

Hopefully you will feel a bit better soon it does take time and I know exactly how you feel I couldn't walk the dog or anything
