I'm sooo cross. I was give £60 worth of theatre tokens last year which I wasn't able to use immediately as we had no babysitters and were moving house, and I just noticed that they have an expiry date of 4th Dec 07. I rang the company and they basically said "tough luck". I am so so with myself and with them. What a flipping waste and how dodgy are they for putting an expiry on vouchers that someone has already paid for. Surely it should be like travellers cheques which can be cashed whenever. Grrrrr. Anyway, don't use London Theatre Direct for vouchers and tickets, ladies, they are rubbish and horrid.

I hate this.

This has happened to me with spa vouchers although luckily the company did honour them with the words "This happens all the time".

Really bad public relations from London Theatre Direct

for you

Happened to us with vouchers for a photographic portrait sitting, almost same sequence of events & wanted to wait till DD1 was a little bit older at the time. SIL had paid £75, mad as hell. Sympathise.

I may write to Which or something about it, just to see whether its seen as dodgy practice, or certainly consumer-unfriendly. I had a Boots voucher which I unearthed about 2 years after being given it and they were fine to accept it.
