Eczema - Creams / Lotions.

Hello,

Can anyone advise on good creams/lotions for Eczema on young children, I feel like I’ve tried so many and nothing is working.

GP prescribed steroid based cream for use of only 7 days and to be honest, I wasn’t really impressed cause I’m not a fan of steroid based creams, as if used over a long period of time it does thin the skin layer.

At present we are currently using Cetaphil Pro Dry, Itchy Feeling Skin Lipid-Replenishing Moisturising Lotion and have been using this for a while now however, it’s really not doing much.

Creams/Lotions that I have tried and used for DS are:

• La Roche-Posay Lipikar Moisturising Body Balm AP+M

• Diprobase Daily Moisturising Cream

• Diprobase Itch Relief Cream

• Doublebase Dry Skin Emollient Cream

• E45 Itch Relief Cream

• Cetaphil Pro Dry, Itchy Feeling Skin Lipid-Replenishing Moisturising Lotion

I tend to allow use of at least 2 months (8 weeks) when trying out new lotions to get a true indication as to whether or not it’s working and so far no success however, we know that with Eczema it really is trial and error until you find what best works for you. So I guess the search continues for us.

Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
