Does it not have a number? If not pick something to distinguish it and make life easy for teh postman.Otherwise its a bit naff to name a house if there is no need but if you love it then thats all that matters

i love the ones where couples split their names, barbrabill. or dunroamin

no, new houses with names are sad

a house that has been around for hundreds of years or one in the counrtyside needs a name

ours for example is x field house

We have a few roads with no numbers. Some are named after Football Grounds.

One is called "Kinnell", which makes me think of **ing Hell!

Our friends had a flat called Tardis.

I wanted to call ours "@"

Then things would be address to:

Milliways @ my road!

my parents had House Name, Village, Nearest Town of Any Size, County which was really nice till the council forceably named the road, and allocated numbers completely at random around the village. Everyone is REALLY REALLY nice to the postman now

What about a newish house in a rural but large village then? I happen to think a name gives a house a bit of character, why be just a number like everybody else? It doesn't have to be naff like Casa Bevron.

Don't be put off cheeryface, I'm sure just as many people like houses with names as those that don't in real life!

there was a bungalow opposite us once called Thisledo
