Concerned about neighbours children

I've recently had new neighbours and they are a woman with two boys (at a guess they're around 2 and 5) and they still do not fully live in this house and go away for a few nights at a time every week. Everytime they do stay the woman is constantly screaming at her children, she plays music extremely loud (I can’t imagine this is pleasant for the children to hear) and we regularly smell cannabis. We can hear her children still awake after 9pm and she commonly gives the older child lots of bags to carry when going to and from her car. I do not have any children but this behaviour just makes me uncomfortable and I don’t know what to do about it

NSPCC
give them a ring and tell them everything
(I wouldn’t read much into bags from the car-mine used to help me when bringing in shopping but the rest isn’t on)

That’s sad. I’ve been in a few situations were children were being mistreated. Once I reported it to the nspcc or you can call social services. Once I called the police as it sounded like the dad was beating the child up. I’d just do an anonymous call to social services if I were you .

I don’t think there’s enough there for anyone to do anything about. There’s no laws against playing loud music (as long as it’s during sociable hours), if it’s not though it’s just an environmental health issue. It’s also not illegal to shout at or make children carry the shopping in. At most you’ve got the cannabis smoking, but even that probably won’t ring any alarm bells with social services.

Definitely report.

If he dc arent living with her full time this may be a staged return which she clearly isn't ready for.
