Just wondering if anyone has ever sent a SAR for their social work files. My files go back to the late 70s/early 80s. I got some information, a few documents from this time, but the documents I got showed there should be other information. I asked them to have another look, but they said sorry recording systems have changed significantly over the years and there is no more information. However, I can't understand how they had some documents from this time, but the others cannot be found.
For example, one document was dated 1982 and was written by a psychologist. The psychologist stated concerns and follow-ups that must be undertaken, yet there are no documents related to these concerns and follow-ups.
I just wonder if this is possible or if they don't want me to see them.
Why keep some documents and not others?
